Frequently asked questions

About the Capri chair.

We answer the most common questions about the Capri chair: adjustments, dimensions, and warranty.

What is the advantage of a low backrest over a high one? +

It takes up less visual space, which is welcome in open offices where twenty high backrests create a wall. It also lets the chair slide completely under the desk and leaves the shoulders free to move. The trade-off is that it does not support the upper back or neck, so for sessions spent reclining to read, a high back is the better call.

What are 4D armrests? +

Armrests that move in four directions: height, width, depth, and pivot. It is the most complete level of adjustment, and it lets the forearm stay supported both while typing and using the mouse. It is uncommon to find on a task chair.

What does the seat slider do? +

It moves the seat forward or back to adjust its depth. Set correctly, it leaves two or three fingers of space between the front edge of the seat and the back of the knee, which is what keeps pressure off the legs during long days.

How does it differ from the Capri executive chair? +

In the backrest. The executive version has a high back with a headrest; this one has a low back. Mechanism, arms, lumbar support, and seat foam density are the same. You can see it on the office chairs page.

Does the chair comply with Mexico's Ley Silla? +

Yes. Ley Silla is the Mexican labor reform that requires employers to provide seating with a backrest for workers, and the Capri meets that requirement with room to spare, adding adjustable lumbar support, 4D arms, and a seat with depth adjustment.
