Executive chair Malta, front view

Executive chair

Our black office chairs need to uphold the image of a space without drawing attention to themselves, and that's where the Malta Executive Chair with Headrest comes in. A sober silhouette, an integrated headrest, and the highest ergonomics rating in our seating line: 5 of 5.

The independent front lumbar support adjusts for height, so the support lands where the lower back needs it instead of where a fixed curve decides. The 3D armrests with a soft pad follow the elbow through all three axes. The synchro multi-lock mechanism adds anti-shock and a slider: the backrest can be locked in several positions, not just upright, and the seat slides to adjust depth. Mounted on an aluminum base with smooth PU casters. Certified under EN1335 and NOM-037-STPS-2023.

Frequently asked questions

About the Malta chair.

We answer the most common questions about the Malta chair: adjustments, dimensions, and warranty.

What does the headrest add to an executive chair? +

It supports the weight of the head when the backrest reclines, which is when the neck is most exposed. Over long workdays it lets you lean back for a few minutes without straining the trapezius muscles, and during video calls it helps keep your gaze level with the camera without hunching forward.

What is the synchro multi-lock mechanism with slider? +

Synchro means the backrest and seat recline together, in coordination. Multi-lock lets you fix the backrest in several positions, not just upright. The slider moves the seat forward or back to adjust depth to each person's height, and anti-shock prevents a sudden jolt when releasing the backrest.

What's the difference between the executive Malta and the task-chair Malta? +

They share the same design language, but the executive version adds a headrest, an aluminum base, and a higher level of adjustment. The task-chair version is designed for open workstations.

What do the EN1335 and NOM-037-STPS-2023 certifications mean? +

EN1335 is the European standard for office furniture: it sets dimensions, safety requirements, and test methods for work chairs. NOM-037-STPS-2023 is the Mexican remote-work standard, which sets ergonomic conditions for the workstation. The Malta meets both.

Does the chair comply with the Ley Silla? +

Yes. The Ley Silla is a Mexican labor-reform law that requires employers to provide workers with seating that has a backrest, and the Malta meets that requirement with room to spare, adding a headrest, lumbar adjustment, and a multi-lock backrest.
