Task chair
Malta
The Malta task chair is the same chair that equips management offices, minus the headrest. That means a mesh office chair for the workstation comes with an executive-level spec sheet: ergonomics 5 of 5, an aluminum base, and EN1335 and NOM-037-STPS-2023 certifications.
The mesh backrest ventilates through the full workday, and the independent front lumbar support adjusts in height so the support falls exactly where each back needs it. The 3D armrests with soft pads follow the elbow through three axes. The multi-lock synchro mechanism adds anti-shock — no jolt when releasing the backrest — plus a slider to adjust seat depth. All on an aluminum base with soft PU casters, which in continuous use outlasts nylon by a wide margin.

Frequently asked questions
About the Malta chair.
We answer the most common questions about the Malta chair: adjustments, dimensions, and warranty.
What is the difference from the Malta executive chair? +
Only the headrest. Mechanism, armrests, lumbar support, base, and certifications are identical. The headrest version is used in management offices; the task version at workstations.
What is the anti-shock feature of the mechanism? +
It is a damper that prevents the backrest from snapping back when the lock is released. Without it, releasing the lock while reclined causes the backrest to spring back abruptly.
Why an aluminum base on a task chair? +
Because it is the part that takes the most punishment under continuous use. Aluminum handles more load, does not crack over time, and gives more stability while reclining.
What do the EN1335 and NOM-037-STPS-2023 certifications mean? +
EN1335 is the European standard for office furniture, setting dimensions, safety requirements, and test methods. NOM-037-STPS-2023 is the Mexican remote-work standard, which sets ergonomic conditions for the workstation.
Does the chair comply with Mexico's Ley Silla? +
Yes. Ley Silla is the Mexican labor reform that requires employers to provide seating with a backrest for workers, and the Malta meets that requirement with room to spare, adding adjustable lumbar support, 3D arms, and a multi-lock backrest.
