Frequently asked questions
About the Ventto chair.
We answer the most common questions about the Ventto chair: adjustments, dimensions, and warranty.
What does it mean for the piston to be Class 3, rated for 100,000 cycles? +
Gas-lift pistons are classified by the pressure and stress they can withstand; Class 3 sits above the Class 2 pistons used in many budget chairs. The 100,000 cycles is the number of times the seat was raised and lowered in testing without failure. At a normal rate of ten adjustments a day, that works out to more than twenty years of piston service life.
Is the 136 kg maximum load for the seat alone or the whole structure? +
It is the working load of the whole chair — frame, base and piston included. That is a figure worth checking whenever you buy in volume, because many low-cost chairs do not disclose it.
Why is the seat shell made of plywood? +
Because a laminated wood base distributes weight more evenly than a thin plastic sheet and does not flex with use. The high-density foam sits on top of it. It is a more durable construction than chairs with an injection-molded seat and no shell.
Are fixed armrests a drawback? +
With desks at the standard 75 cm height, they work well for most users. They become an issue if your desks are taller or if a user needs to tuck the chair fully under the desk. For those cases, a model with adjustable armrests is the better fit.
Does the chair comply with the "Ley Silla"? +
Yes. The Mexican labor reform known as the "Ley Silla" requires employers to provide workers with seats that have a backrest, and the Ventto meets that requirement with its backrest, lumbar support and height adjustment.
